Solar Pedagogy is an alternative educational system, structured by Principles & Methods based on philosophical, theoretical and practical background.

The goal of Solar Pedagogy is to awaken the light on the intellect level, the warmth in the heart and the power of the willpower of children.

Through specific activities it consolidates the virtues in the character of children and awakens mental forces that will be a supply and a beacon for a quality, happy and healthy life.
Serving the εὖ ζῆν (ef zin), the art of living well !

At Astrarche® we implement Solar Pedagogy in all our activities, making use of its three Methods of Light, Warmth and Power:

  • Music

The harmonious music follows the method of Warmth where it develops the pure feelings, the kindness and enhances the virtue of expressivity with singing. All our melodies are in the healing frequency of 432Hz in which all the great classical musicians like Amadeus Mozart, stringed their musical instruments.

  • Walks in Nature

The interaction with Nature follows the methods of Light and Power, where they develop observation skills, concentration and love for life! Nature is the greatest teacher who can always teach us in the simplest and most beautiful way!

  • Breathing & Gymnastics

By learning to breathe properly and exercise, we eliminate the extra intensity. Wonderful educational tools of the Power method, where they restore the health of the heart and the nervous system. They strengthen the willpower and the virtue of diligence, so that children become autonomous and self-sufficient from an early age.

  • Drawing & Storytelling

These two activities serve the path of the heart, with the method of Warmth! Children develop pure emotions and become true Heroes! Learning from ancient history and myths they activate their imagination with all the colors of the rainbow! Sensory messy play also takes a very important role especially at younger ages. Natural materials such as clay, corn flour, edible vegetable dyes and cotton offer an incredible experience of free play, developing all the senses!

  • Nutrition

In Greek the word nutrition (Δία-τροφη) means: “The food of Zeus”! By learning which foods are beneficial for us every day, we can wisely choose the building materials in order to build our physical body perfectly! Eating in conscious silence, the souls and spirits of children balance in an alchemical way. Eating together bonds our relationships and improves our social manners.

  • Paneurhythmy

Paneurhythmy is a meditative dance that utilizes all three methods of: Light, Warmth and Power. In inner and outer peace the children observe every movement, enjoy the music and rhythmically harmonize with nature exchanging elements with the environment. Paneurhythmy combines music, movement, thought and speech into a harmonious ensemble.

At a deeper level, Solar Pedagogy researches and utilizes:

The temperaments of children according to Hippocrates: Choleric, Phlegmatic, Melancholic, Bloody & The abilities, skills and talents that evolve in each period of their development.

It is proven that Happiness, joy and peace are dependent on good cooperation and development of the mind, of the heart and of the willpower. If these three temperaments inherent in man are in their highest manifestation and in balance, then human is in harmony with himself and enjoys health on all levels!
